On Sunday, 1 February, the congregation and community of St Oswald's said a fond farewell to Revd. Alison Brunt. She retires, having served as Vicar since July 2015. It was with warmest wishes but heavy hearts that the Church bid her goodbye, but also with gratitude to God for the gift of Revd. Alison - a Vicar of warmth, huge dedication to her call, faithfulness to Christ and the Word, and sensitivity and passion for her flock and community.

A PRAYER FOR ST OSWALD'S
Loving and Faithful God, your love for us at St Oswald’s
is unchangeable. You have welcomed each one of us into
the family of your Church. In Jesus, you called us to be
his body in this place. Send down your Holy Spirit upon
us at this time of uncertainty and change, to fill us with
vision, energy and faithfulness in prayer that we may be
true to our common baptism and bring new life to our
Parish community. Guide with your Heavenly wisdom
those appointed to discern the way ahead and the new
Incumbent for this Parish of St. Oswald’s, that we may
receive the Priest you have prepared for Your people,
ready to serve us with joy, to build us up in faith, and
lead us by example in love and obedience to your Son,
our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.
