Summer Music Festival

1st to 7th August 2021

St. Oswald’s Church is excited to present a short summer music festival to enjoy gathering to hear live music once more.

The festival will feature music of different styles from musicians of local and international reputation. There will be something for everyone and opportunities to experience something new.

Tickets should be reserved ahead of time, but it is likely that there will be some available on the day.
 

Tuesday 3 August, 5:30pm – 7pm Steel Orchestra

A free concert, to be held outdoors weather permitting, with the opportunity to purchase food with a Caribbean theme.

Thursday 5 August 7:00pm in church
The Galant Baroque Lute of Andrew Maginley.


A selection of 18th Century pieces.
Andrew Maginley is the foremost professional black classical lute player in modern history. He specialises in lutes and early guitars and is a champion of the 18th-century baroque lute. This is a rare opportunity to hear this fascinating instrument.

St Oswald’s Church Choir and Streatham Voices Choir,
with the Beaufort String Quartet, will perform a selection of:

Vaughan Williams Folk Songs

and other folk inspired pieces & music from around the world.
